Our Commitment
Water Reminder+ is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your health data belongs to you and only you. This policy explains what data the app accesses, how it is used, and how it is protected.
Data Collection
Water Reminder+ does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.
All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:
- Your profile information (weight, age, activity level)
- Water and caffeine intake logs
- Daily goals and streak history
- Achievement progress
- App preferences and settings
No data is sent to us, third-party analytics services, or advertising networks. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, and no cloud sync beyond what Apple provides natively.
Apple Health Integration
If you grant permission, Water Reminder+ can:
- Read your activity data (steps, workouts, active energy) to provide smarter hydration recommendations
- Write your water intake to Apple Health so it appears in your health dashboard
Health data access is entirely optional and can be revoked at any time in your iPhone's Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > Water Reminder+.
We never access, read, or store any health data beyond what is described above.
Apple Watch
The Apple Watch companion app communicates with the iPhone app using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. Data is transferred directly between your paired devices over a secure, encrypted connection. No data passes through external servers.
Notifications
Water Reminder+ uses local notifications to remind you to drink water. These notifications are scheduled entirely on your device. No push notification servers are involved, and no notification data leaves your device.
Third-Party Services
Water Reminder+ does not use any third-party SDKs, analytics tools, crash reporters, or advertising frameworks. The app contains no tracking code of any kind.
Data Storage & Security
All data is stored in your device's sandboxed app container, protected by iOS's built-in encryption. When you delete the app, all associated data is permanently removed from your device.
Children's Privacy
Water Reminder+ does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not require any personal information to function beyond the optional profile setup (weight, age) which is stored locally only.
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
